Also how do I get a plane ticket as a minor? I gotta make it to New Zealand without parental permission. I have an adult picking me up there I just need to know how to get the ticket.
Hitch-hiking, whatever. I need to get from NJ, to CA. Definate stop points are Iowa and Colorado if need be.
How can I do this?

If you want to go to Calif. why go to New Zealand? And can't
the adult planning to pick u up, loan you or send you the ticket
if they want to help bad enough? How bad can it be at home
that you'd want to risk your life hitch hiking across the states.
Calif. is not the answer. Before you got there, the cops would
find you along the highway dead probably. And you can't
expect for anyone to feed you along that five day trip. My
cousin once hitch hiked from NJ to Oregon and it took him
five days of riding. He was lucky and in the Navy, and he
knew how to protect himself. What you plan is suicide I think.
You need to evaluate your situation. Get a job, and save for
the trip and money to live on. Try living in New Zealand and
not out west where times are hard for most everyone due to
high everything out there and too many people and not enough jobs for supporting yourself. There are too many
waiters and waitresses already out there. Many are trying to
get into the Hollywood scene and are waiting for their big
break.
You need someone to talk to and help you realize you are
going to have to sit and plan something of this grand an
expedition. And it will take money. So until you have earned
it, don't plan on leaving. Surely you have grandparents or
some other relatives you could stay with? Or some friend
from school? Anything temporary til you have the funds to
move into a studio apt. You can do this if you find it is im-
portant enough, believe me. Or you can join the military and
they'll put a roof over your head and feed you three times
a day. More than one person's done that when they wanted
to leave home. I did that myself.
If you need any one to listen. Email me privately. Just keep
your head and don't do anything in a hurry. You have the
time to plan an exit with your welfare in mind. Just make
sure you are of legal age to live on your own. You wouldn't
want to end up in Juvinile Hall, as the consequence if your
parents charged you as a runaway.

Get the adult who is picking you up in NZ to book the ticket for you. You only need permission for someone over 18.
Sounds like you also need a monetary loan. You must be over 18 for this. Again, I suggest getting the adult picking you up in NZ to organise this for you. Sorry I can't be of anymore help
xD Hi, person I know really well. Umm, well, just ask those friends in Colorado and Iowa to send you money. Also, you only need to be 15 to fly alone and all that without a parent or guardian at the gate with you when you take off. Get someone near you to buy you a plane ticket. Stopping in Iowa and Colorado would be kind of difficult, depending on the time you're leaving. I would say that a ticket would be anywhere from 100-700, depending on if you get a deal or not. If you're flying into Colorado try to find a cheap airport anywhere in the state and have your friend go and pick you up. if they can drive that's better than having them get their parents to get you. For getting a ticket to New Zealand that'll be harder. You'll need a passport to fly. I'm sure that you can get a fake one if you absolutely need to but that'll probably cost money that you don't have. See if you can get someone to make you a passport for free or something like that. I would suggest flying into burbank or something if you go into california, if it's cheaper. It usually is since it's a smaller airport. If you plan to stay with the friends in Iowa and Colorado for a while try to get a job around there even if it's something small like mowing the lawn or walking dogs or something. That'll get you some extra money. And what about the taxi and food expenses? Try to get someone to help you out there. Or bring some food that won't spoil from home. Hitchhiking isn't the best idea since people can end up taking you somewhere you don't wanna go. I've considered it. Like in The Hitcher. Did you ever see that? Well, like in that, buncha people got killed. True story, too. Just make sure that all the people you're going to see are going to be able to let you stay there or something.

Also, people that are suggesting/going to suggest that he not do this, please don't. His situation isn't the best and I highly doubt he will call the police or any other government officals. He would most likely call a few friends of his to find a way outta there.

I don't really know your whole situation here except that you need to desperately get out of a really bad situation. If it is really as bad as you say it is, there are other alternatives besides what you are saying. First of all, if there is abuse going on, please pick up the phone and call for help! Nobody deserves to go through that no matter who they are.

Second, I don't understand the whole New Zealand connection. It seems like you have a relative or friend or someone in California that you want to get to, but there is also a missing piece of the whole puzzle. If it is someone you met online and are going to see, please, please, please use extreme caution. In fact, if you have never met this person before, I would strongly discourage you from doing so now as they may try to take advantage of you in some way and that could make a bad situation even worse.
