Took my first Paxil cr last night, when will side effects go away?

Question:
Got a horrible panic attack today. And am just very lightheaded and tired. i feel like im going to fall over if i walk! is this normal?

when will this go away?

Answers:
If you never had panic attacks before, get on the phone to your doctor, NOW! Get a different medicine!

If that's your usual symptom, and the problem is the fatigue, it may just last 3-4 days, and then your body will adjust to the meds. If it continues over 4-5 days, call the doctor & tell the doc you may need either a reduced dose or a different medicine, or something to counter that side effect.

Keep in touch with the doctor. That's the best thing. Don't give up on meds, entirely!

Good luck.
I heard it takes months or never to subside.
PLEASE DO NOT TAKE PAXIL. IF YOU MUST TAKE AN ANTIDEPRESSANT THERE ARE BETTER ONES OUT THERE. Read this question/answers.

I take Paxil; hang in there. They will subside in about a week.
It's hard to say. I have been on it for about 7 years or so. But I do remember that I felt weird for about a week, but it's normal to feel different until your brain gets used to it.
Paxil worked great for me and still works great! I used to have panic attacks and worry all the time. After starting Paxil I reacted to stress in a normal way and was very happy not to be anxious all the time. Give it a chance to work, if you still feel really weird in a week talk to your doc.
The panic attacks aren't good. Discontinue the medicine and call your doctor.
