Question:
I just found out that my son who is a year old has this. An to be honest i am scared to death about it . I have a really hard time falling asleep at night b/c i am scared that when i wake up my son will be dead. he has so many other problems but this one really scares me the most.

epilepsy is scary but is very very rarely fatal. the overwhelming majority of deaths from epilepsy are caused by injuries to the person having the seizure, ie; falling and hitting head. but as far as someone just dying because of the seizure itself, that would be very unlikely...look up "status epileptus"..this is the way a seizure could be a medical emegency..
It can be treated with medication and the proper pediatric Doctor !
