Answer:
I know some people get triggered to have nightmares by certain foods they eat or beverages they drink (not alcohol). For me it is hot chocolate and marshmallows.

Help! I'm depressed, anxious and suicidal!?
I've found that temperature has an effect on the type and intensity of dreams I have. The hotter it is where I sleep, the longer, wilder and more intense the dreams. Mohammed supposedly climbed the mountain and buried himself under a pile of blankets; when he emerged he came back down and told of the many 'visions' he had. I think there may be a biochemical reaction to an increase in body temperature which has an effect on brain activity, but I haven't researched it. I just know that heat has an effect on my own dreams; when I sleep with extra blankets I dream like crazy, and when it's too cold I barely dream at all!
How do i know if i would be missed if.?
i'm not sure why you would want to have nightmares and more intense dreams but I've found that wearing a nicotine patch while I sleep gave me nightmares and more intense dreams....which is why I stopped wearing my patch while I slept. Its apparently a common side effect of the patch as its mentioned in the warnings on the instructions sheet.
Is there such thing as being addicted to food?
How about I just give you my nightmares; I don't want them anymore. They freak me out for days, sometimes weeks.
Why don't you just try keeping a dream-journal. Have it next to your bed and write in it everytime you wake up. You'll soon find you're remembering dreams quite vividly, and that way you'll get the bad with the good, and not be poisoning your body with some crazy drugs.
