I want to know why I feel like i am going to passout sometimes in happends once in awhile?

I know its probally anxiety because after I take a sedative it goes away please tell me how anxiety can make you feel like your going to passout its very scary. its been happening that past couple days, I dont woryk because of my problem and I really do want to work how do I get over this, I am tired of being like this, I have been on medications for years they work then I start to be immune to them all I want to do is be able to be dependent on myself thats all I ask please give me some suggestions on how I can work without it effecting me to function and how does anxiety make you feel like passingout?

Mine is due to blood sugar levels, if too high or too low I start seeing spots and have to sit down or pass out.

Might have your Doctor check your blood sugar levels.

The anxiety preceeding a presyncopal feeling/exhaution is very concerning for aura/postictal phenomena.

You may need to be evaluated by a neurologist, preferrably a behavioral neurologist. It could be a complex partial seizure originating in hippocampus/amygdyla.

The anxiety meds, if that were the case, would be like putting a band-aid on a broken bone.

In either case, getting advice from internet not as high quality as a history/physcial by a specialist.

Start keeping a journal now to find any hidden patterns to the events -- date, time, activities/chemicals preceeding event. You may benefit from an EEG if the doc feels that is appropriate. In the meantime, avoid alcohol, optimize your omega fatty acid intake, take a multivitamin and talk to your doctor about slowly tapering down on the benzos.

I've suffered from social anxiety and panic attacks my whole life!! Sedatives are not the answer! I took a course of cbt (cognetive behavioural therapy) which really helped. It's about changing your thought patterns so that you can rationalize things, and control your panic. Also I use a herbal remedy that really helps.
