Help..plz??
Question:
im 16 years old and I have a very negative body image,
and I feel shame and anxiety about my body. I find it hard to communicate with people because of the way I look.
I'm so ugly and my body is horrible.I'm feeling so guilty because of my look. Being pretty is so important these days because the media shows that physical perfection is what we should all aspire to if we want to be successful.
If you want to see my picture open this link:

Does anyone here have a negative body image?and can anyone help me to be more confident?
Answers:
It doesn't matter what you look like in your photo as that will not help you to change what you think about how you look.
If you are concerned about being successful it has nothing to do with how you look unless you want to be a model. Even then you would be surprised. I lived in Hollywood for a while and one of my friends was a very high paid model. She was about 195 pounds and her face was not all that attractive. She was a "hand" model because she had the most beautiful hands and nails you ever saw.
You need to look for the qualities in you that you can feel good about. Focus on those qualities and then work on making you the best "you" that you can be. Have a professional do your hair and work on your complexion and makeup. You don't want to cover up or change yourself just work on being you. Buy clothes that flatter your body size and shape. Be original don't worry about being trendy. Simplify, uncluttered is classy.
I am sure you are beautiful. I can't see you pic, but I am sure you are very pretty. If you keep feeling that way maybe you can try talking to a school counselor. good luck.
im sorry but i cant figure out how to look at the immage but it doent matter what u look like just be yourself and be happy forall the good thigs God gave u in lif t would be a lot esier if u believe in God and become a christin
I wouldn't worry your young and you body is still changing. Also ladies aren't a size 2 they are size 9. I wouldn't stress so much just eat healthy and think positive. I feel that same way after I eat pizza and drink soda all day! Workout it helps give you a chemical boost of positive energy.
the way i see it is that your probably trying to change who you really are for people who probably aren't even worth it, everyone is beautiful in their own way. If you want to change the way you look you have to first realize its for your good, not others, second of all ... you look fine.
a work out rutine i do that works for me is i get up when i get up, do 69 push ups and 69 sit ups, and i run 2 miles, when running start with a distance you can BARLEY handle and slowly work your way up. And i do 69 cuz i like the number ;)
Personal body image is something that is very hard to develop for oneself, and sadly, the way we look at ourselves is highly based on the actions and reactions of those who surround us. I'm 27 years old, and up until a couple of years ago, I, too, had a very negative body image, which led to an ongoing battle with anorexia. To this day, I still avoid looking in the mirror whenever I can, and find myself blushing and a bit doubtful when my boyfriend tells me that I am beautiful. We all have our own unique appearance, we are all beautiful in our own way, whether we see it ourselves or not. What I would suggest is to try and find something about yourself that you do like, something you would consider one of your best assets -- in my case, I used my legs and my eyes. Focus on that one part of you, and with time, you'll be surprised to find that small area of your body expand until you one day realize you do appreciate yourself and the way that you look.
The simple truth is, anyone can look good. But all you need to be truly beautiful is to KNOW that you are beautiful.
i havent looked at your picture, but i dont need to. the fact is, at 16, everyone finds something wrong with themselves. no one is perfect. yes, the media's images of perfection are ridiculous.. but its FAKE.. this will put things in better perspective for you: http://www.campaignforrealbeauty.com/fla...
