Where to seek free counseling for depression?

Ah now see you are on the UK board so i would have said your GP will give you the number of a counseller for free- however, you might be better reposting this on the USA board where you will probably get USA answers. You remember this though buddy, when you get to the lowest point the only real way is up - it takes some time getting there, but nothing is beyond repair. Good luck.
you could call your county health dept. they should offer free counseling or at least a sliding scale payment.
I don't know this for sure, but it's been suggested to me. You can check out I think Catholic services, they offer counseling. Um, maybe your local county mental health clinic. Let's see.. it's not free but it's suppose to be very low cost, having a resident (one who's studying and going towards their degree) do your counseling. It's experience for them and is suppose to cost very little, but not free
call 1-800-SUICIDE..
talk with a minister or Salvation Army and they can lead you in the right direction for getting help
The health department, any psychologist or psychiatrist would be able to help you. There are free services out there. But, if you have insurance at a job I do believe they cover the costs for you to talk to someone... check your health plan if you have one!
