Depression?

I'm not sure what you are asking but I will tell you what I know about it. It is an illness which many people have. It effects your whole way of life and how you look at it. There are medicine out there that can help you. The best way to start is to talk to your family physician, tell him you are depressed. It can make you disinterested in life. I have depression and I'm on medication for it. I also see a therapist, which your physician may ask you to do also. It took several medications to find the right one that worked for me. Some had side effects that kept me from taking them, so the docotor tried me on another one until they got the one that worked, that made me feel better. If you have depression go to your doctor and get on meds and if you have to see a therapist. I see my therapist once a month. He is a life saver as I can talk to him about everything and he understands and also suggest things I can do to make things better. Life is hard as it is depression makes it even harder. One thing that also helps me is to try to think positive instead of negative. Another, I don't feel like doing things but I make myself and in doing so I feel better. Life is to short to set around and let it pass you by. If your depressed set down and make a list of things you need to do and want to do, no matter how small or how hard they may seem. Just getting up in the morning can be hard. Make yourself get up, eat a piece of fruit for breakfast or a glass of orange juice look at your list and pick one thing to do, then do it. Take a break and do some stretching excercise. Then look at your list again and do another thing. While you are doing it think positive, think good things, think about how it is helping yourself and others. Then take another break. It can be a big help if you make yourself shower everyday and then get dressed. As depressed people tend to not want to shower or eat or doing anything. Get out of the house into the sunshine, go for a walk in your yard. If you don't care to be around people then don't push yourself to much there. Just take it slow go to a dollar store and buy something fun for yourself. Go to a lake and just watch the ducks and birds. Just don't set in the house, its more depressing! Write down what you like or used to like in life. Then think of things you can do to enjoy them again. Be Positive in your thinking. If there's a con in something you need to do there is also a pro, think and do the pro. Tell yourself you are an important person, that you are loving and caring, that you are good looking and talented. Be creative, color, write poetry, paint. Move your furnisher around, put on some music and do a little dance. Above all remember to take little breaks that helps a lot. Hope this is what you are looking for. Hugs! von
What about it?
Are you okay?
Smile a lot.
Inside your head.
Be Thankful for what you have,
For Breathing, Not Dead.
Smile a lot.
At others too.
Cause it beats
Depression
Or any shade of blue.
