Is aggressive catharsis a learned reaction to anger or an instinctive one?

Question:

Answers:
Well it can be a product of your bringing up provided that you have it in your genes, anyway; some people can have it, but never develop that; others, due to a bad education and role models, can develop it; anyway, it can just come up if it was already there, waiting for a start.
You are asking nature vs nurture. Does anyone really know. I believe catharsis is an action done to intentionally harm and not just to vent anger. I know when I pick something up and throw it it's because I'm aiming at my husband. Granted it makes me feel better for a second and then I just feel bad. My parents didn't throw things so I don't know. I must have seen it in a movie :)
