Just in that blah mood?
Question:
What can I do to get myself out of this slump? Have you had this happen before?
Answers:
It sounds like a case of depression, although very doubtful the long-term, chronic depression that is treated with medication and therapy. It's likely a phase.
I'd suggest light self-therapy if you wish to speed the phase through. Start exercising regularly, even if it's just going for a walk. Start a journal or have long, deep talks with a good friend. You said your old hobby isn't doing it, so up the ante. Find something new and interesting to do that you've always wanted to try.
Depression is a cycle. It's important to find something to break it and occupy you until your past thoughts are a distant memory instead of a persistent enemy.
Good Luck with it. God Bless.
Hi. You might be mildly depressed. Since you state that you no longer want to do activities that you like to do, this is a sign of depression.
I suggest you see your family doctor and explain your feelings. They might want to do a thyroid test as well. If your thyroid is normal, he might recommend you see a psychiatrist for help.
Y^ou could have a little depression, or it might just be the Dog Days of August. Gets pretty hot there in VA. Besides gardening, do you like other things, if your in VA there are lots of things to do, go out and do some of them.
I would agree with the others. Planning a wedding is allot of work and it takes up allot of your time. So you might be really run down and exhausted from just that. But don't ignore the symptoms of depression. If you let it go to long its harder to come out of it. You need to try different things that may stimulate you body out of this funk.
