Any positive experiences on PAXIL?

Question:
Anybody have any positive words to say about Paxil? My husband was prescribed this by his doctor. He has been on other things, but I have read some negative things and I'm a little worried. Thank you

Answers:
I am taking paxil since April, and I've been feeling better.

The only bad reaction I had was one day when I took it early in the morning without having breakfast until two hours later.

I had terrible nausea, vomits and dizziness during two days. So, my only advice is always take it after eating.
my friend and my mom are on it and they seem fine..
PERSONALY i swear by Lexapro.. it all depends on the person.
I am sorry, but I can't tell you anything positive about Paxil. I took it for two weeks, and I started having seizures because of it. I had to be taken off of it imediately! Now, every person is different, so this may not happen to your husband, but I just wanted to tell you what happened when I took it.
I have been on it since April and am feeling "better". I was having some really awful panic attacks. They were so bad that I visited the emergency room twice within two weeks. I have not had any since I started taking it. Tell your husband good luck and things will get better.
It really depends on the person... .I also checked on side effects for it and they didn't look to good.. Here is the website I was looking at ennislaw.com... But they also said not to stop taking without talking to your doctor.. You have to weigh out the side effects and see if it is worth it to you..But I would see about another med. just ask the doctor about the pros's and con's to each one before you get them...
I found it very helpful the few times I took it for depression. It normalized my mood, sleep, appetite and energy and I didn't experience any noticeable side effects. Some people think it's great, some it doesn't help and some have bad experiences with it.
