Sleepless Nights?

Try playing soothing classical music and ask God to give you peace of mind at all times. You might want to see a Psychiatrist to see if it is a chemical imbalance in your brain. I hope you feel better soon and begin sleeping soundly at night.
Before, going to bed lock all the doors windows, etc. Distract yourself watch tv, movies. Listen to some music go on the comp..relax
Do you exercise? If not, try working out about 2 hrs before bed. I had terrible insomnia for the past 12 years, since I started high school. Recently I have been running on the treadmill daily and golfing M-F. I started about a month ago and after the second day, I have been sleeping wonderfully, and waking up refreshed. I have the same problem with the negative thoughts, although mine tend to continue through out the day as well. I have been reading a lot of books on improving your life through the way you think. I'm currently reading a wonderful book called "The Slight Edge" by Jeff Olson which has really helped me. Another one which was great was Learned optimism- I'm sorry I don't remember the authors name, but you should be able to find it by the title. They both really helped me to take control of my thoughts and I have really begun to feel like everyday is a great day and I'm excited to get out of bed in the morning, where just a few months ago I was terribly depressed and overly emotional.
You can handle this in two ways. First you can take an over the counter sleeping aid to help you sleep. Or you can ponder on what events are going on in your life that is causing the sleeping disruption. Excercise and calm music can help you fall asleep. Just a suggestion.
