Loss of a loved one can be traumatic, I was depressed for a couple of years after my mother died and at first it was denial, and then anger. it took me a few years to over come it. Sometimes you become detached from your surroundings, afraid to lose again not wanting to be close enough to experience this feeling again. Have you been reading alot since your fathers death? Cutting ourselves is often a way to let ourselves know that we feel, that we are still alive etc..Sounds like you have become withdrawn, and once again the knowledge of Harry Potter ending thus be-it, death . Suicide is not the answer, and neither is death. perhaps you should try talking to someone you feel comfortable with. And if not perhaps this site and the answers will give you some comfort. Know that you are not alone in this. And you are not going crazy. losing someone you love is very difficult and depressing. Try spending more time with friends, as opposed to being by yourself.
you have a problam letting go of things talk to a shrink he might can give u some advice
If you are feeling suicidal you need to contact someone. You also need to look into outpatient therapy.. Don't ever let yourself be alone when you are feeling this way because you will let your thoughts get to you.

The whole thing with not wanting things to end.. I think this is normal.. To become obsessed with it isn't. I feel sad when a show i love season ends.. Or I get through reading a very good book. But you just have to figure out when to get the sadness to stop. Otherwise it will take over your whole life. You shouldn't feel stupid for it. The suicide things above are if you start to feel this way... just incase.
I think you are right.
Why don't you get therapy or talk to a professional?
You can also talk with a close family member.
Or u can email me if you want.
I heard that friends are the number #1 emotional up-lifters, so try to distract yourself with friends.
You should probably seek help-if not from a professional then from a friend or family member. But you also need to keep in mind that however upset thoughts about the end of Harry Potter can make you, it is just fictional writing. Nothing that actually happened is real. Sometimes when I'm watching a really scary movie and can't stand it, I just tell myself that it's not real and they are just actors pretending to do the things they are doing. One more thing-I've never cut myself before, so I wouldn't know for sure, but I don't understand how you can even think that it would help you feel any better or get over any sadness or depression you are going through at the time.
