Anxiety and Ativan?

I take ativan on a almost daily basis. When you first start to take it before you build a resistance it will make you tired. A lot of people use it as a sleep aid as it stops all the chatter in your head. Mixing it with drinking in my personal experience has caused many drunken nights where I have large memory loss and I would not recommend it, its gets you really drunk in a bad way if you drink heavily. It should be ok with 3 or 4 drinks but i would not go over that from personal experience, but I am not a doctor.
Over all it is an awesome anxiety medicine that really helps me. .5mg is the lowest dosage you can get and should help you. If you have time before your flight I would just recommenced talking it like 3 or 4 hours before you go to bed so you can gauge how tired it makes you.
I don't think you will notice its effects more then 4 to 5 hours after you take it. For me it does not make me lethargic (tired) at all the day after.

Take 1 tablet about an hour before the plane is scheduled to take off. Don't drink alcohol. You'll probably sleep during the flight, but it'll wear off and your vacation will be great!
Honestly no! You will be fine. Just know if you happen to be super sensitive to meds then cut the alcahol out. Have a fun trip.
dont mix alcohol and drugs ever - its not a good idea especially sleeping pills - youll be fine once you get off the plane he wouldnt prescribe it to you if he thought it would affect you neg
You probably shouldn't take alcohol with it, but you have a kind of small dosage. I've had Ativan before and had a glass of wine with it with no ill effects, though I was morbidly obese at the time. One pill at that dose just taken once shouldn't wear you out for the whole trip, probably not even for most of the day. I'll be flying soon and plan and getting this script myself.
Take it, sleep on the flight, and do NOT drink any alcohol.
I worked in a hospital with patients that took ativan. Take it seriously. It will help you.
