Is anybody on....?

Answers:
I am vary much the same as your self for varying reasons, my main one that I could not do without is my Diazepam (valium )
I have been on this for 16 years now, did you know that you should have a series of blodd test for the time spent on valium.
The other drugs such as your inhalers are all fine the pain killers can become a problem just like the valium over a long period of time.
Like any medication it all takes time to get off them espeically the valium to come off valium you must be controlled by your gp and under no circumstances let them just make you stop taking them as this could be extreemley dangerous.
The reason why gp's will not dish out valium and such other drugs alike are for fear of reprisals in that they have placed you on addictive habit forming medication and that if they were to stop you suddenly you can sue them one of my old gp's tried to do it to me but I cannot and will not come offf the valium for many reasons I am x forces with ptsd and it's my only saving grace bar a few bottles of spirits a day or the obvious invetible ending
Dont be afraid though help is their legaly Drs nowdays are in fear of prescribing these drugs even to the vary elderley and if they do it's short term and vary small doses
end of the day if you need them take them
if you want to come off some or all talk t through with your gp and work a plan out of detoxification and cutting down and if he /she is a good gp will offer you alternate medication as to your valium and such decreases so as to counteract any withdrawls
but in general yes 5 to 7 years would be a rough guide to being completelt free from your medication
good luck
what are your diagnoses?
your doctor should be in prison.
thats alot !
i am on 7 psych meds and 4 other meds like to help with arthritis, high cholesterol, back pain, etc.
whats your diagnosis?
do you have a lot of physical ailments?
5-7 yrs sounds weird to me to be able to put a time on whatever it is NO-ONE can do that- get a 2nd oppinion
I think that you should be careful. Prescription drugs are highly addictive.
Hello
Your perfectly normal
I take Lexapro 20 mg,Xanax 0.5 and Klonapin. And Im only 19 years old.I can feel myself addicted to them already.I be poppin pills too.sometimes its hard to keep track of them lol,but naw your perfectly fine.email me if you need anymore advice..im here for ya..good luck
i'm on 5.
well im 43 and taking 24 tablets a day
I would seriously worry if I was taking so many. Try to look for alternative things to help with some of your problems.
They are out there... but doctors are only trained to give out drugs that will affect you in another way later.
diazipan (valium) is just as addictive as heroin ! i know gp s used to prescribe it like smarties years ago ...but theres no reason 4 them to prescribe it now ..knowing the side effects ,it also causes agraphobia..there is a natural alternative to it ..which docs dont encourage ..but its the only thing that will replace the diazepan without withdrawel ..its called karva ..you need to go to herbal shop and get info onit ..i have a book with all info in it if u need ?? also how a doc can assume your mental state in 5 years time is a joke !have you been diagnosed ..or was it drug related ?
Well I don't know what is the nature of your illness, but the a lot of pill to take in one day. You must like a zombie from waking up till bed time.
I was prescribed Amitriptyline (50mg) once, and I was advise to take them once a day before bed time, but it a space of two weeks, as that was the duraction of my medication, I felt like a zombie. I was tired and groggy all the time which didn't help my situation.
