I've only had 2 hours sleep in the last 24 and I feel great why is this?

Question:
usually i feel like crap if i dont get enough sleep but i feel alert and everything, whats up with that?

this leads me to another question, that 8 hours a day average that everyone needs is clearly independent to you as a person but i wonder if that generalization leads to poeple forcing themselves subconsiously to get 8 hours a night or around that, i wonder if scientists came out and told us that all we need is 5 hours a night, if people would eventually adjust to live on 5 hours of sleep a night, of course i know a lot of you probably say you get only 4 hours a night or osmething, but keep the general population in mind that doesnt include doctors

You are running on adrenalin baby!! Your body does this naturally to keep you going. If you keep doing this you will burn out because you are over taxing your adrenal glands. It is true that not everyone is the same as to how many hours of sleep they need but all need more than 2.
All the best sweetie! =)
it's whatever works for you i guess, but if you feel like you need sleep after a while, don't deprive yourself of it.
That happens to me sometimes too is think its normal but I don't know why it happens. Don't continue doing it though because it will cause problems.
The lack of sleep will eventually catch up with you, I give you a week, if that.
You sound to me as if you are a bit Manic.
Ever done this before?
