I always get depressed in the summer because it always goes by so fast?

Question:
Like the fourth of july seemed like it was just a couple days ago, and now its nearing the end of july... Then I think about how school will start in just a little over a month... Is their anyway to shake this type of depression? thanks a lot

Answers:
learn to live in the moment - right now summer is here - if it makes you sad to think of it leaving - then enjoy it while it is here - other wise you may get depressed when it is gone.

so slow down - and live in the moment - that would be right now - enjoy the beauty that is - do not mourn its passing before it is gone.
i know summer goes by so quick. just be happy we get a summer... after school we will be working all year round.
Do you have any of these?

Constant sadness
Lack of motivation
Irritability
Trouble concentrating
Feelings of isolation, not as involved with family and friends
Loss of interest in favorite activities
Hopelessness
Feeling worthless or guilty for no reason
Thoughts of death or suicide
Fatigue
Low energy
Trouble sleeping
Significant weight change

If so then you are depressed. Get out have fun and enjoy. or get your parents to put you on meds.
Yeah - think about the fact that most of us don't get three months off from our jobs every year. Plus two weeks at Christmas, a wee at Thanksgiving, a week in the Spring, three or four inservice days, and about 10 holidays!

Get over it!
Alas, "time flies when you're having fun." Just enjoy it!
