Question:
okay so i started taking concerta. this is my first day. i am taking 19 hours in summer school and only have 2 more years til i graduate college!! woo hoo! ps. im only 19. anyways i took it and once it started to kick in i kind of feel a little buzzed.. like i had a drink or two. but its not bad, it slows me down and I CAN CONCENTRATE! its amazing, im wanting to know if anyone elese has had this happen and what other side effects? i also work out and diet and am trying to lose weight, will this side effect help me? so far i love concerta!! oh and another question what does the ER stand for in Concerta ER? time release? im new to all of this, thanks for your help guys!

Answers:
I don't take concerta, I take Adderall but they have similar effects. The "buzzed" feel means you probably should have ate more before taking the pill. It's important to eat before taking this medication. It can sometimes suppress your appetite.

I'm glad you like it and it's helping you! I have been on medication for a little over a year and it really changed my life for the better!

Good Luck!
my son took concert. he never had an appetite and had trouble sleeping in the beginning. he said it made him feel wierd. i am glad it is helping you concentrate, i wish he would take his medicine. he is flunking out of high school. god help him.
ER is Extended release. My ten year old takes it but it does effect her sleep and eating. She only weighs about 52 lbs and is about 4'2". Quite small for her age actually. She has now had to be put on sleeping pills to go to bed and I worry about the long term effects it will have on her liver. ( the concerta ,that is)
