My wife has an extreme phobia. Any advice?

Question:
My wife has a very extreme phobia of Acetaminophen because about 2 years ago she had an anaphylactic attack by accidentally taking some Tylenol. She had to go to the hospital and was close to not making it if she did not get there in time.
For some reason she has associated this fear with food and she is very scared to eat anything that is not sealed, i.e. Microwave meals is all she eats. We went to see a Therapist and my wife is worse off (So much for professional help).
I need help because this is really affecting our Marriage.
She is afraid to see a Psychiatrist because she is afraid the doctor will prescribe medication. This phobia has grown to many other phobias and they keep getting worse.
When she has a headache for example she does not take anything (not even Advil) because she is scared to take ANY kind of drugs.

Answers:
Hypnotherapy is probably one of the best ways to cure a phobia.
Your phobia has probably got a name, have a look at this list of phobias

You will find some helpful information on the following link.

Well if she doesn't see the problem and doesnt want to do anything about it, there is nothing you can do. However, if she is wanting to get over it then I am a big promoter of a technique called EFT which has been proven in studies to help with phobias specifically. It is like an accupressure thing you can do yourself, but it does look funny, no joke. Check it out for free on the site I list, and I would be more than happy to help her with it but ONLY if she wants to. You can't force someone to want to get better.
Try hypnotherapy. EFT is available free, through page 2 at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris... but may not suit this problem.
