I get so anxious about things I throw up! Help!?

Question:
On the first days of school I get so anxious I get sick and have to go home! It is really embarassing, I have tried talking to my counciler, breathing exersices, and more! What else can I do?

Answers:
You are filling your mind with negative thoughts. It is our thoughts that cause our feelings. You need to be paying attention to what you are thinking.

The counselors in schools aren't trained to deal with the problems you are experiencing. You need to go to a professional counselor who is trained in Cognitive Therapy. You may need to also be on anti-anxiety meds. I take Zoloft and it works for me. My sister takes Prozak and it works for her. My friend takes some other kind of anti-anxiety med & it works good for her.

However, there is no magic pill that cures all. It is still very beneficial to receive professional counseling from a qualified person.

You have to be an active participant in your own recovery. That means that you can't just sit back and wait for a magic cure. It takes work to heal our wounds.

I wish you the best of luck. You deserve to live in peace.
God bless you.
Take some anti-anxiety pills.
take a xanax and smoke a joint
See your doctor...you may want to try an anti-anxiety medication on an as needed basis.
I have anxiety aswell, sometimes I wake up too anxious and I'm basically throwing up nothing. At any time of the day, you can call kinds helpphone, they're really nice there, and I am able to call them at like 3:00 in the morning. Their number is 1-800-668-6868.
Look into Zen, change your way of thinking & your view points on life. Relax the essents is at ease. Play a mind over matter game with yourself. Best of luck to you. I also have a weak stomach especially in the A.M's but I also have noticed it is usually when I haven't eatten well the night before.
The same thing used to happen to me. I used to be in school, and when the teacher would call my name to answer questions, I'd choke up, and have constant saliva and coughs. I'd keep going home, telling my mom I felt sick, and she would always take me to the doctor. The doctor just told her this was my way of getting out of school! I didn't know at the time, how to express myself..That I was nervous. Atleast you're one step up, and you know that. You should talk to your parents, and your doctor. Maybe they can recommend something.

Now, as I'm older, the anxiety has greatly diminished. Time will do that. It'll go away too, for you, when you're older. It's helpful for me to know that everyone is nervous when they start something new, especially on the first day of school. We all handle it a different way, and try not to show it, but we all are nervous. If we weren't, then that would be a problem - it would show that we didn't care.

Try thinking about other things when you're starting to feel anxiety. Think of relaxing things that you like to do. Think of walking in the park, talking on the phone, haning out with friends, or, your favorite food. Any distraction is helpful. Meanwhile, just try to get by, one day at a time, and just know, that after a while, it does go away, with time and patience.
