I am extremely critical on myself. I have this one wrinkle developing on my forehead, and It drives me nutz!?

Question:
It is so small, but it is imperfections like this that drive me nuts, and I know its gonna get worst as I get older... I need to learn how to accept myself as a whole and not knitpick the little things. I concentrate so much on little imperfections and it doesn't allow me to enjoy life.

This just proves your are a perfectionist. Frankly, i like perfectionists. They help pinpoint which people are lazy slobs and do not deserve to eat. They help make the world more round.

You need professional help. Hurry before you get another wrinkle to beat yourself up over.
The wrinkle on your head is nothing! Take a look at your butt in the mirror, and look at all the other body parts where you may need two mirrors. Your mental condition may require a combination of meds and therapy. The idea that you can actually put this rediculous information into writing if proof that you are either a manipulative pain in the butt, or a psychotic person in need of treatment, or at least, a friend to talk with.

Spend some time with an honest person and pay them to make a list of at least ten of your top faults, and I'll bet $100 that your forehead isn't on that list!

Good Luck! Get help, or quit playing this sicko game with complete strangers, or with friends. Count the number of friends you have that have either visited or called, or emailed in the past week...surprized?

The fact that you have acknowledged that you are a perfectionist is a step in the right direction. My issue with perfection is similar. I grew up with a hard-to-please father, and as a result I give myself a hard time even about the smallest mess-ups and imperfections.
So what do I do?
I look in the mirror, and say "YOU ARE ONLY HUMAN."
It's true! No one is perfect, and no one will ever be. Accpet and love yourself for who you are.
Another good thing to say to yourself is "I know I'm somebody, 'cause God don't make no junk!" I wish I knew who coined that phrase so I could give creidt where credit is due, but it's a good quote nonetheless.
Be grateful that you have a roof over your head, food on your table, clothes on your back, and that forehead wrinkle will seem trivial in comparision.
Best wishes to you!!
You are most likely OCD. You need professional help if you want to tone down the perfectionist in you.
Find yourself a hobby, or go out more with your friends. It will take your mind off these little things.
Well, you accomplished the first step; recognizing your a human. We all have imperfections, no one is perfect, why should you be? If you aren't comfortable with yourself, than you need to change something, either your outlook on life, or maybe your habits? Examine yourself, not your looks, your inward self, what are your priorities? Maybe your putting too much emphasis on your looks rather than how to look to people. People can see through good looks to the inside person, and if you don't look good inside, you aren't going to look good outside.
The saying, "pretty is as pretty does" ring a bell? You could look like an angel, but how do you act? You need to turn around your thinking. Maybe your selfish, and its taking up your time?? Good luck, I don't think you need a shrink, you'll be fine.
