I'm severely depressed?
Question:
I am going through a nasty divorce, selected an incompetent attorney who harms my case more than he helps; had vehicle problems/repairs run me over 6K and eat run into my life savings, gotten my credit ruined, had the IRS put a levy on my wages, and I'm going to probably have to file for bankruptcy in the next few months. Things were great for me last year but it seems like a dark cloud is hovering over me at this point. I sometimes want to just say the heck with it and end my life but I keep telling myself it's just a phase and things will get better, but I'm starting to have my doubts.
Could anyone on here point me to some phone numbers that do free counseling for troubled people? I'd like to visit maybe a divorce/depression therapist but I just don't have the money right now. Anyone's assistance with finding someone to contact for help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are feeling that you may cause harm to yourself, call emergency services and get checked into the emergency room. You should look in your phone book to look for couseling services in the area, you may also want to talk to your doctor so they can forward a referal to the counseling center. I would say, that if the attourney is making things worse and worse for you, fire him, and ask for an appointed attourney instead or a completely different attorney.
Also, if you have any pain medications or alcohol in your home, you should avoid it completely, as if you take these, your depression will get worse and you will develop dependency. Remove them from your home immediatley.
check your yellow pages for psychology clinics. there are lots of services available for people who have a low income. and cheers to you for recognizing that you could benefit from a therapist! this too will pass...

This too, shall pass my friend. We all go thru phases when one day our life is happy and normal and the next day, it appears to be crumbling. Been there, done that. Have you talked to your doctor about an anti-depressant? They really do help. Takes a couple of weeks, but after that, your life still might suck, but you will be "happy" about it! Best of luck to you! It really will get better, I promise.

If u accept him and pray to Him, He will immeadiatly give u his peace and u will have great night's sleep despite all ur problems. This is what He said, "Cast ur burdens on me". So please cast ur burdens on Him, and let Him work out solutions to ur problems. All the counselors in the world will try and analyze ur problems, then see where whta went wrong and then give u an answer which u cannot follow. The great thing about Jesus is He will put u to rest and He Himself will take care of ur problems while u r in peace. So please,pray to him like u talk to a very dear friend. Give Him all ur heart and mark my words, u will see his power in ur life.
U dont need money, u need 5 minutes to tell him ur problems, acknowledge him to enter ur life. Jesus is sensitive to ur problems. He not a God who forcefully smashes His will in to someone's heart. Get a Bible, preferably a New International Version translation. Just ask the bookstore for one. Then turn to the New Testament and read Luke chapter 7 and the Gospel according to John. U will know who Jesus really is, and what He actually set out to do in the world...
Doesnt matter what u did, whta happened and all the past. U r a human being, with a soft heart and He knows that. He just wants u, and ur heart for Him. Yeah, He is God who loves, not one that seeks to cause harm and pain to those he created so lovingly created out of his hands.
So pray like this, "Lord Jesus, Forgive my sins of the past, and i humbly submit myself in to ur hands". Thats it my friend, ur problems on earth r taken care of, but even better u have eternal life with Him in heaven, which he paid the price for so that u might have it freely.
