Answers:
I don't think you have OCD in the strictest sense of the word, but when you talked about having a thick tree branch fall on your head three years ago, I really became suspicious. It sounds to me based on experience that you are experiencing symptoms secondary to traumatic brain injury. This is a very important piece of the puzzle that you may not have considered. Have you told your doctor this? This could explain why he thinks that there's nothing wrong with you.

This is important because 70% of head injuries are not diagnosed by such tests as an MRI. In fact, the only true way to find it is through a neuropsychological exam. Having a head injury makes sense, especially when you talked about having muscle spasms. Also, if you have symptoms secondary to head injury, medications such as Zoloft which are used to treat OCD, may not be effective. I saw my current psychiatrist presenting symptoms of schizoaffective disorder but I wasn't being helped until he considered my head injuries in the past. Then he put me on drugs taken in addition to Seroquel, which is helpful in regulating brain function in those with a head injury. Lo and behold, the cocktail of medications with cognitive therapy successfully treated me. I hope my answer helped and e-mail or IM me if you have any more questions. I have now reached a successful point in my recovery and maybe I can help by sharing my experience, strength, and hope.
