How come some people like me just have a hard time choosing and making a decision?

The reason I have a hard time choosing the simplest things (such as a movie to watch, the place to eat, etc.) is because I'm afraid of picking something that my partner won't enjoy as much as I will.

but then again I might not be sure
yeah. your not sure if your decision is the right thing to do, you need advice from others. not confident or maybe you dont trust yourself enough.
At least you realise that you don't know what you want. Many people trick themselves into thinking they want this or that and only end up miserable.
It has nothing to do with maturity. It is because we don't know what we want. It is normal behavior.
