How long does it take to feel the effects of Adderall?
Question:
How long until I see something...anything? Should I have seen something by now? I hearing people say that it is immediate...but...like I said...NOTHING.
Answers:
You might not feel the effects, or even notice them. (My daughter doesn't.) If you were able to know when you were not able to pay attention, you would be able to pay attention and thus not need the Rx. But the people around sure will be able to tell.
it should work right away my son takes it when he is in school and within 30 minutes you can physically see it starting to work I took some and it didnt seem to have any effect on my there are alot of other kinds of things the doctor can use if this doesnt work after a month (which is how long they want you to try it ) then I would have the doctor discribe something else
Usually it takes a week or so depending on your body.If you dont see any help in a few days then maybe they have to updoze it a bit.Sometimes that happens.ADDERALL XR is designed to work effectively for up to 12 hours.1
A single dose of ADDERALL XR in the morning works quickly to control ADHD symptoms from the start of the day into homework and family time.10
People with ADHD appreciate the advantages of once-daily dosing over shorter-acting ADHD formulas that require more than one dose each day:
Once-daily may be more convenient because you don't have to remember to take another pill in the middle of their day
Once-daily may be more effective because you don't have the drop in symptom control that can happen when a mid-day dose is forgotten
I believe it affects everyone differently. My son was on adderall we saw a difference in about 2 weeks. The only problem with this drug is it caused him to pick at his skin until he had sores. He has scares all over his body from the many sores he gave himself. They have changed his medicines. It seemed that once Adderall kicked in it only lasted for a bout a month and then they wanted to up his dosage. Good thing we changed.
