there is life after death. you go on to the nextworld(planet). i dont believe in a hell. i believe in a heaven. i also believe you choice where to go next after you die. we are here to learn the lessons we chose to learn before we came here(earth). worrying about death is silly. enjoy your life.
Without answering religiously, I would say think about it this way... everything in the universe is made out of energy, and energy not only makes up our bodies, but powers them as well. Energy is never ever 'used up', it just changes form. We are all eternal, never ending. We are all extensions of the original source of energy and our essence is never gone. Whether you choose to think of the original source of energy as God or not is your choice.
I believe there is a life after death. Just think over it read on various religions (ones which are in no way connected e:g African Voodoo and Christianity). Compare them and you will see all religions believe in a life after death. It sucks to know we will die but there should be a life after death for we humans.
I want you to worry about this. Life before earth. What were you in heaven. The dying thing is okay 'cus there are actual forces trying to keep you alive where you life is planned to be. The truth is if you are to go early you cant prevent it either. So relax and let your invisible grandfathers do their job. It is easier for them too . Just try to get in tune with your ancestors .

and the image of the grandmothers and grandfathers greeting me gives me much comfort - but what i really really really want to see is my dog - then i know i will be alright and very happy to.
It is a proven fact that you cant take a non-living object and make it living. It is also a proven fact that you cant take energy and make it disappear totally only change it. In the Bible the people were proven to have lived and why would some one who knows the REAL truth, not truth based on faith, be willing to be tortured and put to death in a lie? People on blind faith will die for a belief but they really believe in the cause not on first hand knowledge

all you have to do is believe that God's son Jesus died for you and rose from the dead
and ask Jesus to live in your heart
and you will have a personal relationship with him and never have to worry about dying again because when you die you will go to him with him

Bible says grace + law(added) is as life + death(added), which is a dead end. So the end written to endure unto to be saved(only) has no law: sin & death, which is eternal life(only).
The strength of sin's death sting is law: 1Cor 15:56.
