Living wearing a mask?
Question:
sensible answers please
Answers:
masks are used in child abuse cases, where the child is encouraged to wear a mask whilst talking to a professional therapist. to wish to wear a mask means you have something to say but are afraid of saying it but you need anonimity. we all wear masks of one sort or another. i'm sometimes physically sick before i go into work, i hate the place and it brings me down but once in work i put my mask on. everythings great with my life no problems here. if you have something to say but are afraid to say it then tell the mirror (not the newspaper). i dont know what the condition is called the need to wear a mask, honestly i dont but i know what it implies.
I don't know how it would be diagnosed, but it sounds like a fear based issue that I think a good phsycologist could help with.
I would ask you sensibly if this is your problem. Going into a philosophical or intellectual explanation of the issues involved when people wear 'masks' (veils, beards, dressing.etc...) is not going to resolve any problems. For that, the internet and other cultural studies might give you the knowledge you want.
This is also a sensitive issue, so, I won't discuss it unless you are the one with the problem.
Most likely an offshoot of Body Dysmorphic Disorder.
Michaeljacksonaphobia! All kidding aside, who knows?
Michael Jackson wears it and he is INNOCENT so there is nothing wrong with it but be prepared for people in the streets to stare at you because society says it isn't normal.
I could diagnose that. That person would be a MUSLIM.
Or one of them kind of religion anyway.
Hi,
I don't know if there's an exact diagnoses, could be really low self esteem, no confidence, social anxiety etc. Many people put on a mask to confront life, but not a psychial item but more of a persona or an act to hide their really feelings. The doctor probably wouldn't diagnose this but refer you to a psychiatrist, who would be better able to understand your condition and possibily put a name to it or at least try to help you understand why you do it and start to work to get out of this phobia.
best of luck

I don't think a doctor will suggest wearing a mask, I'm not a doctor but this is a psychological issue. So I think the doctor might suggest counselling.
