Need Help! Murder Scare.?

Question:
Recently, the head nurse from my sisters school, along with her two daughters were brutally killed. Last year, my sister went to her every day to get medications; she was a really nice lady. My mom even talked to her on the phone a few times. When I was in grade 7, I remember seeing her around campus and in the nurses office. I am now a sophomore and have moved across the country while my sister continued to board at the school. I can't go to sleep without being terrified out of my mind. Just to know that someone I have seen has been strangled to death is hard to take. It makes me feel like next it could be me, or my friends or family. What can I do? Answers:
it really would be a good idea for you to talk to a professional. a school counselor, school social worker or possibly a private practioner. they can be realatively inexpensive if you find a place with a sliding scale-FYI i pay 25 dollars every 2 weeks for my therapist.
at any rate it sounds like you have post tramuatic stress syndrome. It can effect you emotinally as well as physically if you do not seek a little help.
try to take deep breaths and hold them with counts of three when you feel your anxiety rising. think of positive things in your life, friends, family that make you happy. try to visualize those things.
keep a journal and write down the good and bad feeling you have every day. it is a great outlet and keeps me sane!
good luck and please talk to a professional! they really can help!
You need to talk to someone about these feelings, friend family neighbor, or anyone who will listen.

I don't think that you should worry about you or your family becoming the next victims, but you definitely need to talk to someone and let people know you are feeling this way.
I am so sorry for this terrible catastrophe. I think you need to spend some time with your family or closed Friends. Do not spend alone these first days. You are still in shock and you need the comfort and love from your closed ones. I hope it will go away by time. If these fears remain in you after a while, maybe you would like consider to talk to a counselor. My heart is with you.
Oh my gosh...This is so weird because I was just reading this on the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. Apparently the woman had Pittsburgh roots and I am originally from Pgh and occasionally check the paper there. What a terrible tragedy.

I would definitely suggest speaking with a counselor about your fears and they can talk through ways to deal with it.
If you need someone to talk to you could e-mail me and i will GLADLY help you.
