Does Cymbalta loses its effectiveness after 2.5 years?

Question:
I take it for my OCD and depression. Since last month I started to get much worse on both. Should I change my med?

Answers:
I FOUND THAT IT DID. IN FACT MY DOCTOR HAD DOUBLED THE DOSEAGE BUT I DID SEE A SPECIALIST AND HE INFORMED ME THAT SOMETIMES THE COMBINATION OF CYMBALTA AND LEXAPRO WORKS MUCH BETTER THAN CYMBALTA ALONE.
ask the doctor that is prescribing the medication to you.
let the doctor know you dont feel it is working as well as before, possibly they can increase it or make a medication change for you.
call your doctor
i would check with your dr. i too take cymbalta. they say on younger adolesence. it could make it worse i feel some times im more depressed now than before. bvut sometimes it so much of everydays pressures.in life but i would not stop taking it or missing doses without talking to your dr it could make it worse.
Mine lost it after three days and I ended up in the hospital wanting to die.
