Stopping Lamictal, but feel like poo?

Question:
Hi-I've been taking Lamictal (off label to help ADHD symptoms) at 75 mgs for 1 and a half years. I've had some very annoying side effects, so I'm titrating down to get off. My doctor knows about this.
However the last few days, I feel like I can't even wake up. I have blurry vision, and I'm puking. All the same stuff I felt when I was going on it.
It sucks because I have stuff to do today...
It been like this for 3 days at 25 mgs. Any similar experience?
Thanks!!

Answers:
I've never been on Lamictal but I've had the same effects while taking Wellbutrin.

You may need a mood stabilizer to level your mood while eliminating some of the worrisome side effects. Keep taking Lamictal until your doctor tells you otherwise and pay special attention if your behavior starts getting out of control like excessive talking, spending or sexual behavior - symptoms of bipolar disorder.
I'm currently on Lamictal at 200 mg, but I went off of it for a while to see how I would feel.

Honestly, I didn't have any side effects going off it. I just went to 100 mg one week and then to zero.

I would stay at your 25 mg dose for a week. If symptoms persist after a week, I would definitely consult your doctor.

I feel modestly better on the Lamictal, but nothing too great. But a little is better than nothing--- so for me it's a good med.
