Im depressed and i dont know why?

i cut my self and in school ( im 13) i would burn my arms by rubbing a pen till it got hot and place it on my skin and i tried telling my mom that im depressed and need help but she asked why but i dont know why im always sad i cry everynight but i dk y help me

Taylor I'm so sorry to hear that - you should really pray to God and ask Him to come into your life and show you why you are depressed. God's real and He will be there for you ... all you have to do is ask.
well first off i know you prob already know this but you could try a sycologist they can dig deep and try to find out whats the problem...or in other cases just try to stay high on life .your probably so yoused to crying...cuz zlike you said you do it everynight.but the things that depress you try to ignore it spend time with your family and friend think positive think how great you are think of the wonderful friends and famiyl and how much hey need you that should always brighten you up! and hurting your self is never the anser and tell your mom ...look her striahgt in the eyes be serious say mom wee need to ttalk tell her what youve been feeling have her get you professional help ...listen to your favoirite music watch your favorite videos go to the movies hang with friend keep your mind off depression your mind is probably set to it...dont let it absorb yyou..keep living life to the fullest!
Please go and see you Doctor, I know its hard and sometimes there is no answer and unless people have been depressed themselves they really don't understand. It might just be a simple thing like your hormones kicking in but you will be better off to see someone and get the medication you need to get you through.
You don't have to have an actual reason to be depressed. Sometimes our body's chemistry changes and makes us feel different. It sounds like you are seriously feeling sad, or depressed and are self-medicating by doing something to your body. I think you should tell your teacher or counselor at school. They are trained to help young people with all sorts of issues including depression...check it out as soon as you can.
You need and deserve to look for and take action in getting help. Often school have counsellors, or just a visit to your family doctor.
Watching too much of television and sitting too close and too long at a computer can lower positive wellness in us, as well as being around aggresive people, aggressive music such as rock, even listening to bad language, can mess up our fine tuning for good health inside us!!
SO..you may have to make alot of changes quickly.
Sometimes too going through upheavels in life or upsets can cause us to become sad and despondant...there may be many reasons, or just simply a tiny little thing that needs a little bit of care and attention. But when you can find someone who is a professional in this area to talk things over with, I'm sure you will notice a good improvement.
At 13 I cried all the time too. It could be caused by all the adolescent hormones that are new to your body. Regardless of the cause, you really do need to seek help. Cutting is not normal nor acceptable in dealing with life. It is overwhelming for you right now so, you need to talk to someone. Go to your school counselor. Better yet, talk to your mom again and ask her to take you to a Dr. or psychologist. If she won't listen, then call a close adult relative you can trust to intervene and talk to her or your local Crisis Line. You need to get help today! Print out this letter and appropriate answers and show it to her.
well i know how that is my friend did it and she came clear with her mom and told her she did need counseloning and told her what was going on. so just confess.
if depression hit you and nothing has happened i would say 1) God's calling you to him 2) you have a mood disorder. 3)chemical imbalance. i was there, i know how you feel. but you must really try to fight the self injurious acts. it can become addicting. did the depression just come? you can also get depressed before starting your menstral cycle. (that also happens to me) im gonna put Godly and worldly advice in here ok. 1) pray to God he CAN and WILL heal you. (he did me) 2) find out if you might have a chemical imbalance
3) pay attention how often this happens, it might have to do with your cycle.
4) do your part and try your best to fight! you have to fight to get better. its a struggle when dealing with the mind like this.
Depression is pretty serious. I'm sorry that your mom won't help you. Do you have any other adult that you trust, a teacher, school counselor or a friends parent. If you are hurting yourself it is very important for you talk to someone and figure why you are so depressed. Don't let yourself get so depressed that you can't bounce back. Here are a couple of sites that you might want to look into. if you can't find an adult that you trust to talk to, these websites also have hot lines that you can call.
1. Listen to lots of good music. This means no Fall Out Boy, Panic at the Disco, My Chemical Romance, whatever. Why don't you start with The Beatles. Sing along.

2. Smile! It will make a difference with how you feel. And when peope look at you, smile at them. They'll smile back.

3. Don't cut yourself.. That's just lame. If you feel like hurting yourself, go for a walk or something.

4. Talk to people and be nice to them. Tell jokes, laugh at their jokes.. Make friends. Don't just do this mith some "group" or type" of people you want to be associated with, don't worry about that. Make friends with anyone and everyone. Be confident and friendly.

5. Everyone get sad sometimes. For no particular reason, even. You need to relax, think about things, do things you like. Spend time with other people. Trust yourself, you are not your enemy.

I can tell you yes, it sounds like you are experiencing deppression. Let me explain to you that alot of people including parents do not understand deppression. I do understand deppression. I have been diagnosed with it and I live with it everyday of my life. It is not an easy thing to deal with. I know the feeling of not knowing why you are crying you just are as you said. You try to tell yourself to feel better but, just can not pull yourself out of it. You need to get to your doctor and recieve help. There is medication and counseling out there. Believe me it is what helps me get through and deal with the deppression. Please let me know how you are doing.
