Recovering from an eating disorder?

Question:
well, i've recently started recovering from anorexia, and i've seen a nutritionist and doctors and they have told me what i needed to do in order to help myself.. but for some reason, i keep binging alll the time. This recently started like last month, and i don't know what is going on. Is this normal for someone getting over an eating disorder? It's like I can keep eating and eating, and all i think about is food. I don't know if it's as bad as I make it sound, i usually binge on things like lots of crackers, breads.. basically carbs.. & peanut butter. it's just totallllllly weird. I don't know. Plus, I'm having a lot of emotional problems, can this be a result from starving myself?

Answers:
Eating disorders are basically an obsession with food, and although some people who have anorexia, don't want to eat, they're still constantly thinking about it! Your body is just craving nutrients, but this binging habit could be dangerous if you are still in recovery... Remember you never fully get over it, you just learn to deal with it and live a more healthy life. So try to eat lots of healthy foods that will fill you up, like salads, cereals and fruits, (bananas are filling). This binging habit you've gotten into might lead into Bulimia behavior, (binging & vomiting)! So be care full... You should regularly see your therapist, even if you feel you've recovered, because it's so easy to fall back into old habits... With Anorexia and Bulimia nervosa or any eating disorders, you don't completely recover but you when you do brake out of those bad eating habits you're always in recovery... I've done a lot of research on eating disorders and I have been in recovery from Bulimia for about a year now! Hope this helps, I wish you all the very best! Take care!
It seems perfectly normal to me, honest. For a while I am guessing you had gone without much food, if any food at that, so now your body is making up for lost time-just balancing things out.
Anorexia's major symptomof starving yourself is not only physically damaging, but mentally and emotionally draining, possibly damaging.
Try writing out a meal and snack schedule and maybe it would help with the binging, not that binging is all that bad in your case, but it could possibly put stress on your heart-as a warning, try eating meals and snacks with a as many of the food groups as possible, this could help your cravings. I could go on and on but I don't wanna bore you.
I used to have anorexia and am recovered for th emost part. ashleyjuliette22@hotmail.com if you wanna talk more about this. Peace to you.
When I recovered I gained 53 pounds from binging. Please don't binge because when I got fat again I turned to throwing up.
Yes it could be a result of starving yourself. You have support, ask them about what you can do. Having a lot of emotional problems makes it even harder to deal with.
Take care
