Which side effects are worse - Lexapro or Prozac?


Question:
I currently take Prozac for depression, but my doctor wants to take me off of Prozac (because of my decreased libedo) and switch me to Lexapro. From what I've read Lexapro sounds horrible! Has anyone out there made the switch? What would you recommend?

Note: in addition to effectiveness, I am most concerned about sexual sife effects and weight gain.

It all depends on how your body takes it. I know that when my boyfriend got on Lexapro he couldn't orgasm and when my dad got on Prozac it got him angrier. But the side effects with you could be entirely different. Trying seeing a doctor about your medication and which they believe you should try first. I'm pretty sure Lexapro would be best.. If you want you could try both and compare but that would take some time.. Hope all goes well!

It all depends on you. If you're only depressed and not suicidal, perhaps you could slowly withdraw from meds. and try getting counseling instead.
dont go on lexapro ! too many bad side effects ! i know from experience!! sexual side effects ! u CANT orgasm !!
