Well saying that you will get murdered is a little extreme.
Going out at your age is normal, as long as it is done in moderation. Going out and getting drunk every night is not a very wise decision.
Make sure there is always a sober person within the group if you must drink to the point where you can't take care of yourself.
Bottom line is that your mom has every right to be worried, but you are an adult now. Act like a responsible one and she will not have the right or a reason to question you.

Mum is right. You can get alcohol poisoning. You can get mugged, shot in a drive by, would you jump off a cliff because that is what all your freinds were doing?
Well now we are seeing more news on killings and abductions, but just call your mom when you get there, when you leave and she shouldn't be worried also take some self defense classes or watch Oprah. Sometimes she has these shows on what to do if your attacked. It's natural for both you and your mom to worry. Its the same with me and my mom we are worry bees.
ya you probably are insane, but we will deal with that another day. The fear of the parents placed on the child is an old story. Unfortunately now the damage is done. You very well might have anxiety in similar social situations for the rest of your life. I hope not. Now we both know that going out and something bad happening is remote. These unrealistic fears will have to be dealt with sooner or later. Hopefull sooner , as they can plague you as you now enter adulthood.
Go out, be responsible if you drink, Keep people at arms length (don't let people in your space) at least until you feel more comfortable. Finally keep it short, Not to much the first time.
I think it's ok to go out at night, if you're not acting stupid. It is much more dangerous if you are going to go out and get trashed.
Hi I'm concerned as you have said all your friends get drunk. This is not good! Who will drive you home? Please don't tell me a drunk driver! You are a very important person. You are special in your own unique way. There is no one who can replace you. Riding or driving drunk is irresponsible and not smart. I hope you value your life?? Alcohol kills many people, and some are innocent men, women and children just driving home or to a friends or family member. Maybe you could let your friends know that you don't drive drunk nor do you ride with a drunk driver. You might get murdered or you might not. But driving drunk or with a drunk driver there is a 50- 50 chance you might get killed in an automobile accident or you might kill someone else. Please think things through! Take care of yourself, no one else can do it for you. Hugs!
listen to your mum. going out and getting drunk isn't good either. why risk your life and future just for one night that probably isn't all that it is cracked up to be? instead of going out with the guys. invite them over and watch some sports games. if they decline, then just do something another day. don't risk it kid.
