Meditation? Limiting your caffiene intake? Doodle on a blank piece of paper? Jog for a few minutes? Chew on licorice? It's all about distracting yourself, keep your mind off of whatever is on your mind. You could try reading, but odds are your mind will wander. Decaf tea will always help to relax you. What are you feeling nervous about?

Have a drink...
You can try breathing into a paper bag to calm your nerves. Doing so reduces the amount of oxygen that reaches your blood and this kills the fight or flight response brought on by adrenaline.
