Is there anyway to get someone to quit being so Negative?
Answer:
Not until they truly realize it themselves. It could be depression, but I also think that negative thinking becomes a bad habit that is hard to overcome. Send them a thoughtful card now and then. Maybe, just maybe, they will realize how they might appear to others if someone is concerned enough to send them cheerful thoughts.

Read "Learned Optimism" by Martin Seligman, Phd. He as studied depression vs. optimism for over 40 years and was featured in Time Magazine. It is a great book with an actual method that you can apply to everything. Best of luck to you.

They will have to want to stop being so negative. Have the person look at both sides and try not to let them make you as miserable as they are. Some people will never see that silver lining and can never make a lemon into lemonade.
Poems, paragraphs and sayings that brings the mind to a sober state.?
No...Ignore them to the point that they ask why you are doing so...then tell them that they are so negative you can't stand being around them....It may work
