How to get rid of stress? How can I get some sleep?
Question:
The cause of this stress is my RD. It keeps on getting postponed. It was supposed to happen last saturday. But then I have to do it tomorrow.. I wanna get sleep so I can concentrate for tomorrow but I cant sleep right! They say one way to get rid of stress is to eliminate the cause. But the cause is the reason I want to get rid of the stress.
Tell me.. how to sleep.. I really wanna sleep tonight.. I miss the days when I just sleep peacefully... And please.. dont tell me to take pills...

Find a good book and start reading!!
It will relax you and/or put you to sleep.
Also try warm milk and honey before bed time.
Take a hot bath, or a hot shower. Then drink some herbal tea, and just lie down and fall asleep. It works wonders, without pills.
You need to overcome the mind-over-body case and reverse that to body-over-mind. Just temporarily. Exercise vigorously one hour before bedtime. Don't do it to exhaustion. Your body won't feel the effects of energy depletion until later. Running the treadmill and jumproping help. Take a shower and brush your teeth ahead of time. Watch TV for the remaining hour and go straight to bed.
try self-hypnotism. it might not work if you have insomnia, but it helps me to fall asleep. during self-hypnotism you can target what you think is causing you stress and somehow phrase a statement to eliminate it. just google self-hypnotism and it'll tell you how.
