Gambling adiction, HELP?!!!!!!?
Question:
I know there is nothing else I can do, not until she is willing to cooperate, any ideas of how to overcome the friggin' frustration and this feeling of impotence???!!!!
Answers:
Addiction of any sort is tough on family and loved ones.
She is the only one that can change to break the cycle.
It is common to get on and off "the wagon" until they either stay on it for good, or destroy themselves.
Something that is extreme, but may need to be considered.threaten to take her kids away due to neglect...and possibly take the first steps to actually doing it. This may snap her out of it (though at first she would probably hate you for it), and if it doesn't it still may be the best thing for the kids.
GA would probably have some advice on this.
Good Luck
As for your own feelings...if she didn't have kids, you could do the tough love thing and "kick her out" of your life until she comes to grips with it.However, since it would be hard to abandon your sister's kids too that may not be an option.
It may be good to see a therapist yourself to help you deal with how it is affecting you.

Find her a new hobbie, preferably outside, running cycling and stuff like that, you could go with her. But its very hard to overcome so will need to combine with other solutions
if you know that she is doing and she is not going to admit it..again then your going to have to go and tell your family. and if you know then do something tell her to stop give her no choice.
WELLL ??????????... sorry
Get yourself out of her life. People have to be over 18 or 21 to gamble, so she's an adult. Distance yourself.
I know one way .call the police and tell them that she is leaving her children alone all day. She will be charged with "neglect"...could even lose her kids! Is she married? I've played some bingo myself, and I have also been a debt collection office manager so I know the next step...it's writing nsf checks in order to play. Just wait...if you don't report her for the kid's sake, things will get much worse. Check fraud is serious.
