Does worrying about insomnia keep you awake at night?

Question:

Answers:
No typically for me its not the worrying about insomnia that keeps me awake, its the actual insomnia. I cannot ever sleep and its not because I worry about insomnia but because I actually have it.
well yuh!!
As much as this was probably intended to be an ironic joke, yes, it has.
nah, I let my night shift job do that for me.
Any kind of stress or worry can keep you awake
It used to for me. Now, I have the fear of becoming paranoid.

Frankly yes, worrying that you're not able to sleep can keep you awake. You need to take deep breaths & relax. Do not think of sleep. Try to go to sleep.
Taking deep breaths & positive autosuggestions to rest each & every body part starting from the toes upwards to te head aking each organ to relax will help a lot.

Very Funny, I take so many meds I hardly worry at all.
When I worry that I won't get enough sleep, that keeps me awake! The more I can relax before going to bed, the better I sleep. The worrying will keep your mind too busy to sleep.
yes.
Yeah, think of something boring like politics.
For me, it's not the worrying about insomnia...

It's the actual meds causing the insomnia. :)
oh yeah it will, but insomnia means u can't fall asleep, if u r not sleeping, what are u worrying about?
