Give me some tips or advice to improve my self confidence!?

Question:
I have lost My self confidence, and it's influencing my personal life, and even my career. I can not risk accepting new responsibilities at my work because I think I don't know and I can not do it.

Answers:
Your negative statements/thinking are holding you back. You say "I dont think I cant do it" You already have deceided by saying that ,that you are incapable. Instead of saying/thinking those kind of thoughts start thinking, "I know this is new to me, but I,ll be able to do it" The just do it! Your thoughts are your present confidence,so change them. Remember-"Change your thoughts and you change your life" It,s so true. Good Luck, not that you need good luck you are the answer to you lack of self confidence./ Or shall I say your thinking is.
just be your self and don't worry about what others think about you, thats the biggest task. Don't be afraid of making mistakes, without mistakes we will never learn anything new in life.

good luck :)
any work can be done by any individual provided they have confidence and little back ground knowlede of the job and situation, OBSERVATION is considered as main tool in such situation , of whatever nature it could be , so observe assess and train yourself and you can do any job.
Do somethings for yourself. Get a makeover, start exercising and eating right. Pamper yourself a little. Make yourself feel good and it will show. Take some risks to prove to yourself that you are good enough. If all else fails get some therapy. Talking under confidentiality never hurt anyone.

Affirmations. Write out positive statements about yourself. Place them on the bathroom mirror. Read them every day, or every hour. Also, make a tape and play them to yourself when you are sleeping. You can even play them when you are jogging or some other activity if you get some headphones.

Try saying
I am respectable.
You are respectable.
(Your name) is respectable.
Hana, I've been there and what really helped me was, ironically, helping other people. First figure out what you are really good at (please pardon the dangling preposition! Misuse of the English language is one thing up with which I shall not put!). Then, find someone who needs help with that area in which you are confident in your ability. Chance are, he or she will gain more confidence in their ability and, seeing this, you'll realize that it is possible for you to do the same.

Personally, I've always been pretty proficient at mathematics. When my sister was having trouble with math at school, I would help her with her homework. Being a year older that she is, I already had the knowlege to help her. I also knew the way the teacher presented the problems to her, so, I figured out a different way to present them. Well, it usually took her only 5 or 10 minutes to get a grasp of the material. I still remember her saying, "Why can't they explain it like this in class?"

That question made me feel fantastic and increased my self-confidence.

Please, give it a try!

Good luck,
Mark
mam,

Any person who have no self confidence because of 2 reasons - first real of lack of confidence two is no thorough knowledge of the works or working abilities.

U will have to read and write and improve ur IQ at all levels -
-working knowledge
-better communication
-general knowledge
-study the working environment
-stop brooding the past
-stop hearing to adverse comments on U from third persons
-have patience and think before answering any questions to Ur boss or any one.
-think of only Ur job while working.
-discuss about Ur lack of knowledge of ur work with ur friends or boss (when in good mood) if u do not know the same.
u give yourself pressure too much, better u take a rest let ur emotion get a filter for one or two days.in these filter is important to u rest is not thinking, must think more think Ur life, think positive way but not think Ur job.career just is a side thing only ,responsible is mean that just try my best to do it,if u already try Ur best r is already ok.good luck.
The secret to the answer is in the question. Why are you deliberating over your own self-confidence? That's not normal...you are focused too far inward.

Focus your attention outward in general, and make an effort to learn new things about the WORLD OUTSIDE YOU. That will build your confidence, and, curiously enough, you won't even care.
Girl... I'm going through the same exact thing!! I'm finally starting to get over it. I went into a really deep depression behind it. It was crazy. I am a perfectionist. I fear failure. As a child it was instilled in me to do good, like most kids. Me... I took it to a whole other level. I did ok till my teenage years. When I started college I started to realize my anxieties. Now it had started to take over my entire life. Everybody would give me boosts of confidences, but it didn't work because I kept turning inward on myself. Once a family member sat me down and we had a heart to heart talk and gave me that slap back into reality. You never know if you can or cannot do something until you try it a few times. Don't doubt yourself. If you've gotten to where you are in your job, you can overcome the new responsibilities. Don't worry about it. You will make it :)
