What time of days is best to take meds?

Question:
I am taking my Effexor and lamictal in the morning but it feels like my brain does not want to wake up. Can I take it in the evening and will it make a difference to the effectiveness of the meds? What have your experiences been? I know that doctors suggest that you take it in the morning.

Answers:
The time of day at which you take your effexor and/or lamictal will not alter their effectiveness.

The only reason it is sometimes suggested to take them in the morning is purely a convenience/memory factor.

Look at the PDR online to see what it says about the medication. Get informed about what your taking.
I found that taking the Effexor at night works best for me. My daughter takes her Lamictal in the morning with no problems.
I have always taken my meds before bedtime. I have a tendency to get really sleepy so it has always worked better for me. My doctor has always told me to experiment with different times on my type of meds to se what I can andcannot tolerate. Just as long as I am taking them. Maybe you could take the Lamictal at night and the effexor in the morning, or vice versa. Ask your doctor what he would like you to do.
