Is the generic version of the sleep aid Ambien any different?

Question:
The generic seems to make me very groggy in the morning. I wondered if anyone else has tried it.

Answers:
Just my experience, but I thought it was really crappy. I wasn't groggy the next day, but I had funny dreams and would wake up at about 5am. My doctor (a sleep disorder specialist) said he's had a lot of complaints about it.
I was fine when I went back to the brand.
Good luck and sweet dreams!

Being tired in the morning can be one of the side effects of ambein and just because it's the generic doesn't mean that it's different than ambien- they are the same medication, but one is just cheaper than the other.
If The generic makes you very groggy in the morning then the Brand will does the same thing.
