Deprssion?

Your parents are very sensible people. All these docs wanna do is keep you medicated, and soon you'll be worse off than you are now. Do you want to just be pumped full of pills everyday, sitting around not knowing what's going on around you because you're too "doped up" on pills to care?
You probably just need to evaluate your life right now, figure out what could be the reason(s) for your depression, and ask your parents, or a counsellor to help you get over these problems.
Once you get into that medication foolishness, you may become dependent on pills for the rest of your life!
Well, there are many things that you can do in this situation. Depression is a very serious thing. One of the best ways to solve it is to involve in sexual activities to cheer you up. It will get your hormones raging and hopefully make you less depressed. Also you could spend less time being a dipshit and going on YouQA.com .
There are different levels of depression. the majority of the time when people are medicated they are facing a life crisis and are able to be diagnosed with a Major Depressive Disorder. Make sure that you are truly depressed first and not just in some slump, which can last a while and make some minor lifestyle adjsutments to ove come the feelings. If that does not help continue to talk with your school counselor and get some help through that avenue. Good luck and you are not alone.
I don't agree necessarily, but it does make a little sense that your parents don't want you on medication, but there's no reason why you shouldn't see a therapist. Besides that, a lot of people can help themselves to break out of depression and avoid future occasions without medication. Try not to give in to your urges when you're depressed... a lot of people avoid being with friends, or they eat too much or too little depending on their moods. Instead, make sure you're eating healthy and spending some time socializing, even if it's a little hard. Another great remedy for depression is excercise. It doesn't work for everyone, but excercising is great for your mental health as well as your physical health.
Talk to your Dr. he/she may guide you. If you need Meds then they can talk to your parents. You may not need them, you may just need some one to talk to.
I have dealt with depression for years, and it is definitely something that needs to be treated. How do your parents feel about you visiting a therapist? I have seen my therapist for five years and just being able to talk to her has helped me through some very difficult situations. If for some reason your parents are not okay with you being treated with therapy or medication, I would approach one of the other adults you mentioned (your doctor, counselor, teacher) and explain the situation. They will be able to help you.
If your parents wont allow them to help there putting you in child endangerment. Mainly because you could turn the depression in ward and hurt yourself. So they should at least out you in counseling. Good luck.
