Question:
I'm starting to get fed up with my life because there are just so many bad memories and I just want to leave my past behind. Nevertheless, I want to hear stories of people who have done something about it; as in moved out and started there lives over
Answers:
I did three times. Once from Houston to Pennsylvania. Then Pennsylvania to Corpus Christi, Texas. Then Corpus to Gouverneur, New York. I hadnt ever seen any of those places before I moved there. I didnt mind it... it felt good to get away and start a new life in a new place where I could experience new things.
It happened to me as a result of Hurricane Katrina.
I did it...Was the best move I made
I did it, but you soon learn only the scenery changes. You have to change yourself and change your habits to have change. Deal with your past mistakes, learn from them and forgive yourself. I had to fix myself before I could see clearly.

I did it--I had lived in one of 2 states (Arkansas or Oklahoma) all of my life and have had a pretty rough life--abused by step-mother, put in foster care, abused there, married , abused there,..- you get the picture.
Any way 9 years ago, at age 37, I up and moved here to Texas. I won't say its been all roses, there have been some pretty painful thorns, since I moved but even through the painful thorns I'm EVER so glad that I moved down here and have had NO DESIRE AT ALL to go back, and no I didn't know a soul when I first got here but found people very friendly and have now made quite a few friends. I love it here in Texas now and will not ever move again if its left up to me.
