Answers:
I remember how that feels. I thought that it would not matter if I was dead or alive, what did I have to contribute to anyone. You are so important, you may not believe it, but you are important to me. I was touched by your question and that means something to me. You need God, He will make you feel so special, like you have never felt before. He makes life worth living, even when things are not going well. He gives you hope and a reason to live and contribute to society. He has a speciall plan designed just for you and your personality. He has never made anyone like you before, you are one of a kind.
you should not feel that way because people there do love you and wouldn't be able to function without you
and if no one god and your parents love you
think of it this way if make your self feel small everyone will think your small ; be confident and independent and you wont feel so small
hope that helps
Do you have a particular interest? Something that you could develope for later in life. I mean you could start thinking about a career now and get busy getting ready for it. If you want to feel more important then make yourself smart. You are not insignificant unless you want to be. You have to make the decision to change things in your life, better yourself and make yourself known. Work at it honey, you are not insignificant! You are a very important part of this world.
Everyone matters - no matter what! Everyone contributes to society. I think you should consider speaking with a therapist or guidance counselor who will help you find out why you have low self-esteem. Find activities you enjoy, and do them often. Try to do some things in the community to help others - you won't feel insignificant then. You may want to volunteer at your local senior center, where you can spend time with some of the loneliest in the community. Play bingo or cards with them or deliver meals on wheels to some of the homebound and you will feel great!
You are not insignificant, especially at this time in your life!

You are about to begin your future, and right now is when you have the opportunity to decide how the rest of your life will go. You could marry and be a wonderful mother to your lucky children. You could go into medicine and research and save thousands of people from disease and pain. You could become a teacher, and inspire a love of learning. You could be a volunteer or work in a church, and be the strength and supporter of hurting people

Its up to you whether your life makes a difference or not. It doesn't matter how many other teens there are, none of them are you, and none of them can replace you in someone's life
Well most of us are for the most part rather unimportant in the big picture.

With that thought in mind. we should take heart because we fit right in.

Then take a look at those that would seem to be important & if you take a close look at them you will see for the most part they are just ordinary people who happen to have been in the right place at the right time.

So take heart & go forth with the thought in mind that you are for the most part dealing with equals.
I believe every teenager in the world with any kind of sensitivity, has felt much as you have now, at some point in their developing years.
I assure you in that respect you are not unique, nevertheless you too are special, in the same way as everyone of Gods children are also.
There will be a time when you come to realise how big a person you really are and the great power within.
Spend as much time as possible with your best friends and talk it out with them. Go into the countryside and appreciate the joys of nature, in the solitude see the beauty and ponder upon the creation. Look at the stars at night and imagine you can from some magnificent stellar planet.

Kate, we all, as humans, have a conversation with our self in the privacy of our own head. We all like to think, using that self conversation (and aided by our memory) that we are what we think that we think we are. You said you feel small, well let me ask you this; if you felt, instead of small, that you were the greatest person on the plant, would that be true? We are not, any of us, what we think we are. Thinking is memory; you cannot think about something if you cannot remember it, but memory is also the past. It is what has already happened and we constantly use it to influence how we think we feel in the 'here and now'. The past is gone and it cannot be recovered in the now except by thought. Thinking is a tool, and it causes only problems, like you are experiencing, when you use it to constantly relive your past.

Try this:
"Forget about your life situation for a while and pay attention to your life. 'What is the difference'? Your life situation exists in time. Your LIFE is now. Your life situation is mind-stuff. Your LIFE is real. Find the "narrow gate that leads to life". It is called the now. Narrow your life down to this moment. Your life situation may be full of problems - most life situations are - but find out if you have any problems at this moment. Not tomorrow or in ten minutes, but now. Do you have a problem now? When you are full of problems, there is no room for anything new to enter, no room for a solution. SO whenever you can, make some room, create some space, so that you find the life underneath your life situation. Use your senses fully. Be where you are. Look around. Just look, don't interpret. See the light, shapes, colors, textures. Be aware of the silent presence of each thing. Be aware of the space that allows everything to be. Listen to the sounds, don't judge them. Listen to the silence underneath the sounds. Touch something - anything - and feel and acknowledge its being. Observe the rhythm of your breathing; feel the air flowing in and out, feel the life energy inside your body. Allow everything to be, within and without. Allow the "isness" of all things. Move deeply into the now. You are leaving behind the deadening world of mental abstraction, of time. You are getting out of the insane mind that is draining you of life energy, just as it is slowly poisoning and draining the earth. You are awakening out of the dream of time into the present."
You msy feel that way but theres several people in the world who would be lost with out you. I think about that when i get the same feeling. But i do know some people who cannot live with out me so your not inimportant if anything you like super important.
