OK! where do i begin? I am an alcoholic. I am 24 years old. Here is what happened to me in the past 5 years.
1) lost all jobs due to drinking on the job
2)Over 2000$ in fines due to various citations(open container,public intox,disorderly conduct,domestic violence)
3)arrested 7 times
4)1 DUI (blew a .26) and iam currently on probation for it.I am also on probation for a domestic violence charge.
5)I lost custody of my 2 year old son
6) Had to go to rehab
7)In ER 20+ times( I became extremely depressed and violent when drinking.I'm also a "cutter"
8)Extreme withdrawal symtoms
9) In hospital with blood alcohol level of .43
10)I was an anti-social drinker. No friends, cuz they thought I was nuts.I cut myself off from my family
11) Malnutrition. I'm 5"8 and weighed 90 lbs. at one point. eating would ruin my buzz.
12)ended up at a homeless shelter. My family wouldn't take me in.
and most importantly 13) I felt DEAD inside. I'm not phsically dead, but told numerous times that I should be.So basically How can alcohol abuse kill you?
1)emotionally dead and desensitized
2)Health issues., I'm sure your aware of.
3) you can kill your self in or un-intentionally.

Absolutely! Not only does it affect your liver, heart, and kidneys, it affects your mental health, relationships, financial stability and support networks. Suicide is high with individuals with alcohol problems.
Definitely-& possibly kill others too If u get alcohol poisoning u vomit & choke on ur own vomit cause ur r passed out From yale to jail it has killed ppl it is no respector of persons. it takes houses , cars, relationships,niot to mention it can take its time eatting your liver which isnt replacable or how about a sudden heart attack . It kills alot of ppl. hope u will not be one~ oh & rehab is costly & no fun either
Depressed after the semester done?
Several ways:
1. Alcohol poisoning - it was in the news where a hazing incident resulted in a dead student with blood alcohol about .47 or .48.
2. Automobile accident from drunk driving - sometimes the drunk driver gets killed, sometimes the passengers in the drunk's car get killed, and sometimes drivers or passengers in cars hit by the drunk's car get killed.
3. Liver damage. A slow but sure killer, as alcohol can slowly poison the liver with habitual excessive use.
4. Situations resulting from poor judgment resulting from drunkenness- getting in deadly fights or situations where someone has a deadly weapon.
5. As mentioned by previous posters, suicide is not uncommon among alcoholics.
6. Some of the homeless are alcoholics and/or drug addicts, and their homelessness is caused and perpetuated by their addiction. The homeless are susceptible to dangers like death from exposure (to hot or cold weather), starvation, and street violence.
Survivor of suicide...What can I do?
Alcohol poisoning, cirrhosis of the liver(sp), drunk driving or some other drunken accident, can cause depression maybe even suicide.
Is it possible for someone to own an overly positive belief of their body picture?
Alcohol abuse can also kill you in the spirit, or the will to live a happy life.
