Can an overdose of lexapro hurt or kill you?

Question:
usual dose20 mgs took 80mgs

Answers:
You can call your doctor or a poison hot line.

Also check web sites for recommended dosages of Lexapro. You may have taken a high end dose.
I would call your doctor.
A massive overdose can harm you. 80mg, however, is far from "massive". Unless you have pre-existing liver problems (and probably even if you did), you should be fine.
That is VERY high. PLEASE call poison control ASAP.
I take lexapro and I used to take 30mg and my Dr wouldn't let me go any higher.
that shouldnt be too bad...i used to take 50mgs a day for bipolar depression so en extra 30mg shouldnt be too bad.
