Answers:
see a therapist
Uh, see a shrink, and stop asking the mofos here... Duh...
tell your parents what's going on and ask them for help. They'll respect you for going to them and talking to them about it
well tell someone get help. its a serious issue.
It depends on the reason you do it,

I did it because of depression, the depression was caused by the loss of a loved one.

I stopped it because the knife wasn't sharp enough or my skin was to thick and I could not cut myself what ever I tried, sharp things just wouldn't cut my skin (Yes that seriously how I stopped)

But if you can injure yourself, maybe fix what has gone wrong, or think about if it is really worth it and if you have a good enough reason.

For example cutting yourself over your gf/bf dumping you is not a good reason.
All of your family dying from an explosion, is.
Medication can help this problem. Go to the doctor.
You need to seek professional help as you need to get to the bottom of why you are self harming and how you can stop it.
In the mean time, if you have urges, try drawing on the place you like to self harm with red felt pen - it may provide the same relief, without causing harm.
Best wishes, xx
you need to seek help. if you really have the urge to keep hurting yourself, the best thing you can do is to check yourself into a hospital. then they may send you to a mental hospital for treatment. cutting yourself to deal with problems is no healthy way to live your life. talk to someone i'm sure they would want to help. don't feel so alone, and instead find a healthy way to express your feelings.
Not good !! Sounds like it is time to get some professional help before your problem escalates into something worse. Self flagellation still exists in some religious circles but what you are doing is obviously a deep seated mental problem !!
You need to seek help immediately. Self-mutilation is a sign of various mental issues (from depression to personality disorders to compulsions) that need to be addressed before you really cause major injury to yourself, even if you are not trying to. These are typically compulsions done to try to resolve conflict within yourself, but can be very harmful if you continue. If you are having any thoughts of hurting yourself, you should be seen by a your PCP or mental health professional as soon as possible.
put it in gods hands if you dont want to go to a therapist ((hugs))
think off the scars you wiil run out of skin and every one will know.try to stop buy thinking of the consiquences.if that works great, if not confide in someone you love.time heals all with the help of others.drugs and theripy should be a last resort. good luck

Obviously you want attenion, and have no desire to kill yourself; for if you did, you'd be dead now. Please seek professional help in curbing your self loathing behavior.
why r you doin that to yourself???? our bodies are the temples of our souls.... if your soul hurts you have to work hard and heal it ..don t destroy it s house... it s like wantin to help an abused child you take it you feed it dress it try to comfort it and then lock it in a wet basement to sleep... how do you expect it to heal??? that s what you do to yourself....instead of workin hard to heal any problem or bad thought that tortures your mind or your soul, you just hurt yourself even more...buy a pillow and everytime you feel like hurting yrself do what you got to do butTO THE PILLOW!! then write it on a piece of paper..GET UP NOW and get some help from a therapist (it s not bad we all need some help from somebody who knows how to help)when u r all feelin better and proud of your achievement and success go take that pillow and the paper burn them up and think how many times you would have hurt yrself and who knows how far you would have taken it....In my mind you did it already!!!! get some help darling...and STOP hurting yrself....
either STOP! or maybe take up a new hobby - such as puching yourself like in the movie 'fight-club' -- if this doesn't satisfy you, i would suggest just hitting your fingers repeatedly with a hammer.
Well, first of all ask yourself why you do it? And decide if its something that actually helps. Then, decide if it is going to go any further (killing yourself) and if it wont, then you dont exactlly have to stop, unless you want to. But if you do see it going further than find someone to talk to. Wether you know them or not. Retelling your story to someone can help you releve all that has happened.
First of all why are you doing this? What are you trying to escape? When you can figure this out you are on the road to getting help. See someone. Talk to someone. Remember though you are not alone. There are alot of "cutters" in the world. Just please get help before you do damage you can't fix.
Self-mutilation: This is a well-known problem, related to a number of mental illnesses. "Approximately 1% of the United States population uses physical self-injury as a way of dealing with overwhelming feelings or situations, often using it to speak when no words will come." Basically, the pain inside is so great that people cut themselves to divert their attention from that pain. You will probably need medication and psycho-therapy. Please go and see your doctor ASAP for a referral to the right people. There is help outside - please get the right help so that you can live a meaningful life again.
Please call SAFE. They are super-helpful because you can tell them all about your specific situation and they understand. They have helped tons of people stop, and when you feel tempted, you can just pick up the phone and call them and be able to talk to someone who knows how you feel. Please call. It's really, really, hard to quit on your own, but there is help.

Cutting is actually not an uncommon phenomon, though it can become dangerous.

Many people cut for two reasons 1. it is easier to deal or focus on emotional pain than physical pain. 2. when someone cuts, it actually releases a chemical in the brain called endorphines which are a "feel good" hormone.

First of all I believe you should tell your parents and seek therapy. A lot of time with cutters, it is very helpful just to have someone to talk to about ANYTHING.

If you feel that you cannot do so, here are some other things which will help.
1. when you feel the urge to cut, press ice on the area where you usually cut.
2. Get some "fake blood" at a store and place it where you cut.
3. draw on yourself with red pen when you cut.
4. Call you best friend when you feel like cutting
5. go get excersise (excersise releases endorphines as well) 6. The write above stated popping a rubberband on the wrist is helpful, this is true but I have seen Clients who have used this technique and actually harmed themself brusing and bleeding from the force of the rubberband so be careful.

Best of luck to you Sweetheart.
May I suggest that you go and be admitted to a Mental
Health Residential Center...but even so.do find a local
Mental Health Counseling Center, and arrange for some
counseling...lots of it...to discover why you do such things..
Being "in residence" tho, will put you there, on a ''voluntary
basis'' most likely for 30 days...and they have regular
counseling hours...and group therapy, and you should learn
much in that...take some clothing, and plenty of pencils /pens
and notebook paper with you...so you can write and study
to discover just ''who you are"...and you can get better...
You will probably be put on some medicine.
You also need a very extensive Medical Examination
by a Physician, for lab tests and blood tests, and have them
do a pap-smear, if you are a female, and any testing for
any physical discoveries, and also be tested for any
hormonal imbalances...for this can trigger many forms of
mental deficiencies / mental illnesses...
I was never suicidal, but I developed several mental health
symptoms (the negative ones), when I was in the menopausal
years...and yet I made it thru it, and no longer experience
them, except a mild symptom of Attention Deficit Disorder,
for which I take no medicine...but "keep my hands busy"
with being on the computer, and quilting, and cooking and
since I have a store/diner, I can have a variety of things to
do...to fullfill the time, and be tired enough but well-balanced.
By getting a good, thorough medical exam, and getting
necessary mental health treatment, you have a good chance
to maintain life, properly...I wish you well...TF
