Why do I always seek security in drug sedation?
Question:
Answers:
I used to do the same thing. Numb was good because it meant I didn't have to feel. Some of us are just more sensitive to life. I got help and met people like me who have learned how to appreciate and be grateful for the ups and downs. They show me every day how they do it and, in turn, I am also learning coping skills that are much more effective than numbing myself.

Your addicted, get help!
cop out, easier to get numb than deal with life issues
your an addict.
Relaxation
What kind of sedation? Like Xanax, Valium and stuff or the kind you get for surgery. That would be for you and a psychiatrist to discuss.
you need help NOW.
Interesting. Most people dull their senses with alcohol.
Drugs are not different.
If you have problems you would prefer not to deal with in real time, what better than to numb your busy mind?
But the problems are never solved at the end of the trip or at at the bottom of the bottle.

It sounds like you are a very insecure person who doesn't like themselves at all. You need to change that perspective and you will find that you don't have the time for the drugs, there are too many other cool things to do with your life. get involved, helping others is always a natural high and makes you feel better than any drug, it is also a great way to feel good about yourself and become more confident. find a pet shelter, homeless shelter, soup kitchen, church activity that helps others with less than you, and volunteer. You will be surprised at what a difference you can make in the world in a positive way. take the money that you spend on drugs and give it to someone who needs it to eat. that is a powerful rush.
It sounds like you prefer to relax and forget than to deal with your problems. If you do not know we probably do not either. I would speak with a psychologist if I were you. They would be more helpful than us! Good luck.
Try doing things that are positive and not destructive such as exercise. If that doesn't work, talk to your health store owner or search on the Internet for appropriate over-the-counter medications. Lastly, go to a psychiatrist. But, don't take illegal drugs.
Becoming addicted to drugs is a totally insecure position to be in.
