I skipped my Lamictal for a few days?

Question:
I need advice. I skipped my lamictal/lamictin for a few days (4 to be exact). Started taking it again this morning. I'm taking 200 mg since I have depression/anxiety with severe major depressive episodes and it helps me from falling back into depression. I am now worried that I messed the whole thing up. I've been feeling quite depressed these last few days and I am worried that the meds will not work again as it should. I'm also taking Effexor (150 mg).

Answers:
Actually, you should call your doctor. Because Lamictal can cause a severe rash, you might have to start at a lower dosage all over again.
Don't let it cause you stress. The medication will work again soon.

I've missed more than that. They start working again when you take them again.
A few days should not matter too much. Theres a good chance the medication is still in your body - i think lamotrigine stays around for a while. It will just take a while to build up again in your body again and reach a therapeutic level.
No, you didn't mess things up. If you don't feel back in normal in two weeks you should contact your doctor.
Set your alarm so you take at the same time daily. Carry a weeks worth with you in yours purse just so you won't forget if going out of town or staying with a friend.
You'll have to help me here. I don't know what lamicta/lamictin is exactly? You could phone your therapist/doctor and ask what they think you should do. Sometimes the side effect sheets about your drugs from the pharmacist tells you how soon to start taking your missed dosages etc. Did you miss your Effexor too? That is also important. Missing dosages is not recommended by the medical field. Even taking doses at the same time each day can be important. Please take care of yourself and ask your doctor asap about what you should do. Remember that you are the most important person for your own self and to your doctor while s/he is talking to you!
